Installing the TruXport cover is a user-friendly process involving a no-drill clamp-on system. It comes with all necessary hardware and a detailed installation guide. The cover is designed to fit a wide range of truck models; however, it’s essential to select the correct part number corresponding to your truck’s make, model, and bed length. Note that the TruXport is not compatible with trucks equipped with bed-mounted toolboxes.
Driving with the TruXport cover partially open is not recommended. If you need to drive with the cover open, it should be fully rolled up and securely fastened using the integrated retainer straps to prevent damage. Operating the vehicle with the cover in a partially open position can lead to wear and potential damage, which may void the warranty.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the cover with mild automotive soap and water or a specialized cleaner like TruXedo Pro-Tex. Avoid using vinyl conditioners containing silicone or petroleum, as they can cause the vinyl to shrink. Periodically inspect the clamps, latches, and Velcro closures to ensure they are secure and free from debris. Proper maintenance will extend the life of your cover and ensure it continues to function effectively.
The TruXport Tonneau Cover is backed by a five-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. It does not cover damage resulting from accidents, misuse, improper installation, or normal wear and tear. For warranty claims, proof of purchase is required, and the product must be returned to TruXedo for evaluation.
